The 51st Annual DPSG Meeting 2019

We look forward to welcoming you to the city of Graz, Austria, for the 51st meeting of the DPSG in 2019!

The meeting will take place September 05-08 2019 in the 3.5 – 4 star Hotel Novapark in the Northern part of Graz.

Graz can be easily reached by plane from several European hubs. For further information visit the website for Graz airport or Graz tourist information.

An alternative travel option is to take the bus or train from Vienna airport (bus and train depart directly from the main airport building).

Program 2019

The three keynote lectures at the annual DPSG meeting 2019 will be

 o             Long term morbidity in women with previous GDM (Ravi Retnakaran, Toronto)

o             Treatment with metformin in pregnancy and offspring consequenses (Ezter Vanky, Trondheim)

o             Pregnancy in women with previous bariatric surgery - maternal glucose metabolism and fetal growth (Roland Devlieger, Loewen)

 

Joseph Hoet Research Award 2019

The DPSG (Diabetic Pregnancy Study Group, EASD) announces the 15th Joseph Hoet Research Award (JHRA) to be presented on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the Study Group in Graz, Italy, 5-7 September 2019. Deadline for application is April 1st 2019.

DPSG Young Investigator Travelling Fellowship Application 2019

The DPSG Young Investigators Travelling Fellowship is a travel fellowship for Young Investigators in training. The purpose is to enable their attendance at the annual meetings by assisting with travel expenses. The travelling fellowships will be announced and awarded year by year, and are dependent on the financial situation of the DPSG.

The maximum amount for a single award is €400 to cover transportation and accommodation expenses only. Up to 10 awards may be available per competition, dependent upon available funding.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Young investigators must be a presenting author of an abstract. 
  • Young Investigator status applies only to those researchers in training who are 35 years or younger in the year of the meeting.
  • The applicant must attach a signed statement from his/her supervisor to certify his/her Young Investigator status at the time of submission.
  • The applicant must provide a brief description of his/her research at the time of submission.

Application deadline April 1st , 2019 (consistent with abstract deadline; must be submitted with abstract)
Notification of decision Prior to May 30, 2018
Funding per Award Up to €400

 
Eligibility

  • The applicant’s supervisor must be affiliated with the DPSG.
  • The research abstract and related activities must be related to the DPSG mandate.
  • These awards are available to European and International investigators affiliated with the DPSG at the time of the application deadline. 

Evaluation

Applications will be assessed by the DPSG Board of Directors at the time of abstract judging (Late April / Early May).
